Commenting Problem!

Filed under: General — Eman at 5:09 pm on Tuesday, November 21, 2006

Looks like I have the worst luck ever when it comes to my blog’s comments. First when I was on BlogSpot my comments kept being lost or blocked, and then when I moved here, I couldn’t get all my old comments to show up, so I lost many informative and valuable comments.

Now for the past couple of weeks, I get notifications of comments sent to my email, but when I check my blog’s administration section to read these comments and have them approved to be shown on my blog I get nothing but an “Error Message”.

Therefore, if you’ve left a comment lately and it didn’t show, please don’t think I ignored it or deleted it, it’s just this crazy problem I’m having, which I hope will be solved without having to lose all my blog’s comments, because all the solutions suggested now will result in losing all the comments :(

Sorry for the inconvenience!

UPDATE: Fortunately a huge number of comments were saved, thanks to my husband, but the last few posts lost their comments. Anyway, commenting is working now!

Is it? Is it really? he typed, eyes narrowed suspiciously. Ok, well, let’s find out…here goes! (No, Eman, I had nothing else to say. :) )

Cheers.

And it’s great having you on line again. Your good-hearted fearsomeness has been missed, I’m sure by all of us out here.

Haven’t seen a Bush or Republican Party sign or bumper sticker in six months. (Nursing their wounds and plotting. They’ll be back.) Hopefully they won’t start something with Iran in what time they’ve left–probably a forlorn hope. Oh, and in case you missed it, Mr. Bush says there’s no civil war in Iraq. Should be a great comfort to the Iraqis.

Thanks to your continent from ours for sending us all that Saharan dust during hurricane season. It did the trick: we had no hurricanes this year.

That’s a precious photo your husband took of you and Adam. Might want to store a few copies in a safe place for posterity.

Oh. I now have a Pakistani kid in my high school class. (This would make he and his family probably the only Muslims within about a 15 kilometer radius of the school.) He comes to our special school from a mainstream high school, having responded to some rather vile bigoted taunts by slamming the other kid with a desk. Several times.

Though I was expecting some trouble from a few of my more sociopathic lads, there was none, our new student’s reputation having preceded him. (My students have keen survival skills.) It helps that he is very, very large (a Pathan), speaks better English than some of our natives, and plays a great game of basketball. (Now if he’d just do his writing assignments… :) )
