@Eman: The problem is not climate getting warmer and unstable, as it is (like in your example) a lack of responsibility and awareness... i applied for a major in environmental technology in the german university, and because of "Not enough applicants" there will be no courses, and since the university opened, there have never been enough applicants to teach this major !!!!! WOW!!!!

@Liz Toumi: you said sfax ? sfax-tunisia ?

Liz, thanks a million for your sweet comment. Don't worry about spell checks, we're here to share opinion not to criticize each other's writing.
Anyway, you better watch out, although I did the same a couple of days ago, but I believe the weather keeps changing in a weird way that makes it so easy to get sick. And with a baby, the last thing you need is sickness!
Take care and stay well. Kiss your baby for me, hope he'll be sleeping more soon :)

Everyone has been saying that this winter was NOTHING like it usually is... just today, I wore a short sleeved T-shirt in Sfax. Given, everyone looked at me as though I was crazy... some even cared enough to tell me that I would be sick... honestly though, the weather was toasty and warm... kind of what it usually is like in May... scary weird and sad...

You're too cute, going to get tape to patch the water hose... you absolutely had the correct idea.

Naim, thanks, glad you like my blog.

Jimbo, I truly like and respect your wife for this matter :) please make it easy for her.
And thanks for the link, the disturbing info, or better say FACTS made me only worry more!
May your area and the whole globe suffer no more catastrophes, whether hurricanes or floods or anything else.
Take care.

Saad, lol, you left me a comment earlier on another post (sleepless) and this time you did it again, lol!

Wow, I'm impressed. You're a real environmentalist. Your slogan should be, "Eman - Saving The World... One Water Hose At A Time". :)

My wife's an uncompromising environmentalist, too. Why, the sorting of the recyclables is a non-negobiable process from which I flee.

And here's more of the same, only worse, as some unsung comic once said:

http://www.ens-newswire.com/ens/feb2007/2007-02-19-03.asp

There's a group of scientists in New York predicting at 25% rise in sea levels by the year 2027. Probably a bit conservative, given the way the planet's ice cover is melting.

The cold here finally broke today and I sat beneath my sage fichus tree after school, reading a book and watching the hawks circle for lunch. I suppose I should enjoy this while it lasts, being one meter above mean sea level as we are.

Best wishes to the three of you.

Cheers
