My God! Your site is up again! Is the miserable comm line to your home finally permanently repaired, or is this but a brief, cruel hoax?

Cheers,

I'd need your help please, and as i could not find your mail-adress on the website, I wonder if its okay to ask you this way: I'm searching for a good french-course in Tunisia for a friend of mine...any ideas? I think you did that too, didn't you?
Thanks very much & lots of love from Austria,

Of course I've already commiserated with you over this, Eman. I'm sorry the miserable line keeps plaguing you. (Have you considered moving? :) )

When the eletricity goes out--our electric lines here are strung along toothpicks--my teenaged daughter emerges dazed from her room with its dead Internet and cooling computer monitor: "There's nothing to do!" she wails. "What can I do?" (I always want to say "Clean your room," but have keen survival instincts.)

The last time this happened during the day I reached up and pulled down something from a shelf and handed to her. An unfamiliar object, she took it gingerly, testing its unknown weight and shape. "Mr. Charles Dickens," I said. "'A Tale of Two Cities.'" "It's huge," she said, hefting it.

"He got paid by the word. It starts getting good around page 60. Why not go outside, settle into the hammock and crack it open?"

"It's OK," she said, handing me back the book. "My Gameboy runs on batteries."

Hope your line's still up. Have unearthed the manuscript by the way. Be watching the skies for it.

Cheers,

Eman or may be Um Adam I missed you and missed your blog writings ,I am indebted to you for many delightful and informative writings ,thus this long awaited appearance prompted me to write you that we missed you but you did not miss much on what is happening in our Palestinian world ,it is the dilemma of the current events that hurts ,and adding to the cumulative past of catastrophic disasters that so far resulted to void and the rescission of the years of youth and geriatric left me with dismay and short of hope and words , we read and write and at times we try to paint the air with colors we only see in our dreams , but to no avail with my many years of Diaspora ,as you can feel my words ,I may be at my lowest ebb.I am like a Snow Man left in the sun with not much time left to waste*( *borrowed from one of your posts ) .Yet life goes on ,and on who is burned once cant but stand up and fight for mine and our just cause Palestine ,with my assets being the time left for me( how much sun left for the snow man ) ,and my Son ,and my 3 grandchildren that are proud to be Palestinians .

What is right and what is wrong ?yet the only consistent is those who rolled and made catastrophic dessication are the grand children of those who created the Nakba , is there a hope ? Yes and we should create and find hope . It is like your fight for the Internet connection, as usual. All thanks go to Tunisian Telecom of course.Eman ,our world sphere goes around many similar pitfalls of your Tunisian Telecome, all what takes is change names ,but the results are the same !!!!! Wash your frustrations by reading and listening to your previous post :
"An Other Cup , album by Yusuf Islam(formerly known as Cat Stevens). On the album cover, the singer is credited as "Yusuf" Maybe There’s A World”"

I thought I’ll be sharing you the lyrics of one of your favorite songs in this particular album:
“Maybe There’s a World”

I have dreamt of a place and time, where nobody gets annoyed,
But I must admit I’m not there yet but Something’s keeping me going

Maybe there’s a world that I’m still to find

Open up o world and let me in,
Then there’ll be a new life to begin

I have dreamt of an open world,
Borderless and wide
Where the people move from place to place
And nobody’s taking sides

Open up a world and let me in,
Then there’ll be A new life to begin

I’ve been waiting for that moment
To arrive
All at once the palace of peace
Will fill My eyes - how nice!

Maybe there’s a world that I’m still to find
Maybe there’s a world that I’m still to find
Open up o world and let me in,
Then there’ll be A new life to begin

I’ve been waiting for that moment
To arrive
All at once the wrongs of the world,
Will be put right - how nice!

Eman , I may be needed some one ,to hear me ,thanks Eman for lending an ear and take care .
