As many people already know, Ramadan is not just about fasting, it’s also about meditating, getting closer to God in all possible ways, and simply becoming a better person. This makes charitable deeds one of the most essential elements of this Holy Month.

No matter how rich the country you live in might be/look, poverty is present everywhere, and there are always people in need of your help and support.

Today’s pick is the UAE, and here is a quick list of charity organizations you can donate to or volunteer to work with:

My FAVORITE: Take My Junk UAE, where you can donate your “JUNK”, so that workers can benefit from it. To contribute your junk, you can send an email to: junkuae[at]gmail.com

  • Helping Hands UAE (for labourers and abused maids): 050 567 1434
  • Sharja Old People’s Home: call 050 549 5945
  • Dubai Foundation for Women and Children: 04 606 0300
  • Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs: 04 340 4844
  • The Make A Wish Foundation (for terminally ill children): 04 368 0217
