Burj Khalifa’s Launch

The world is still talking about the opening of the highest man-built tower , or skyscraper as many prefer stressing out, Burj Dubai, oops, sorry Burj Khalifa, as it was renamed today at the launch of this amazingly beautiful, breath-taking tall architectural challenge.

So after a few months of launching Dubai metro, the longest auto-driven metro in the world, UAE celebrated the launch of the tallest skyscraper in the world, next to one of the largest malls in the world (Dubai Mall), that has the world’s tallest musical fountain, which started firing up spectacular fireworks at the Burj Khalifa in the opening ceremony; not to forget that Burj Khalifa also has the fastest elevator in the world, which goes 10 meters per second… the exhaustingly impressive Dubai :)

I’m not fond of heights as many of you already know, and to imagine someone being actually on the 160th floor on top of the 828 m high tower is enough to give me chest pains. The observation deck is on the 124th floor, yeah, I wont go up there even if I was paid a million dollars! But it sure is exciting for those who are -unlike yours truly- unafraid of heights.

Besides the launch of the tallest skyscraper on the face of this planet:  Burj Dubai, I mean Khalifa (need to get used to the new name), today also marks the accession anniversary of Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, I believe these two events call for a national holiday on Jan.4th, don’t you agree?

no public holiday please, only retarded nations take national holidays to celebrate tall buidlings or people’s birthdays

I’m in agreement with the excitement people feel towards those marvelous architectural designs… all are breath taking, and brilliant, but I believe Dubai is overspending in a way that I really disagree with.
